Becky and Kellan

The bride was gorgeous the groom very handsome! Becky and Kellan got married at Mountain Brook Baptist Church on Saturday.
The beautiful flowers were from Lagniappe Designs and Tek Neek played the music at their reception at The Country Club of Birmingham. Even their exit was cool, an antique car from Vintage Autos.
I thought they were adorable at the engagement session. They were smooching and smiling and just having a wonderful time.
TEENS

Both Julie and myself have been teaching at Temple Emanu-El's (Birmingham) TEENS program this past school year. I've been teaching the photography class and Julie has been teaching the quilting class to teenagers from 12 - 15 years old. Last Wednesday was the final day of class and the showcase of our students.
Where's Barry?
Sorry about the lack of posting around here. Aron graduated from high school on Friday and well you'll see, just read on.

Ashley and Jonathan's Wedding
Saturday, we photographed Ashley and Jonathan's wedding at Gabrella Manor in Birmingham. Gabrella is a beautiful venue! Brenda and Steve are so cool. Ashley was stunning and the flowers were great, the food was great, the band was great, you get the idea.
Ashley and Jonathan were so cute during their "First Look." They're just so in tune with each other, it's an honor to be able to document their wedding.

Celebrating Israel at 60

Today was a big birthday bash at the Levite Jewish Community Center in Birmingham. Israel is 60 years old and Birmingham is celebrating big time.
Throughout the month of May there will be concerts and dinners and speakers and a wonderful art show featuring me! Yes, I know shameful plug. My "Day in Jerusalem" series can be seen in the LJCC Gallery and on May 18th at 11 am is the official opening reception. Not only am I pushing (exhibiting) my art, we're showing Aron's film - "Aron's Big Adventure" about his trip to Israel.
So, does everyone have May 18th at the "J" on your calendars?
Aron's Senior Project

Last night was Aron's senior project. This is his last performance with ASFA and pretty much the end of this high school career.
He formally accepted at the University of Florida at Orlando this week. He finished the childhood part of his journey and now he enters the adult journey, college.
As I type this I'm starting to tear up. Why? I'm proud, damn proud, but a little sad also. My little boy isn't so little anymore and that's a good thing.
I'm off to find the tissues.
