Barry Goes To School

Missed me? I've been to Photographer camp for the last two days. I studied with David Beckstead.

The man is amazing and so creative. We studied Composition and Light. It was major cool and very enlightening.

Warning to my brides - I learned a bunch of new techniques and how to play with new toys.

Laura and Yawar's Wedding

We photographed and videographed Laura and Yawar's Wedding yesterday.

I wonder what detail caught my attention the most? You think it could be the henna? Anyway, we had a great time with this couple. The are so sweet and playful. You can feel their love for each other.

I love my job.

Laura's Mendhi

Tomorrow's Laura and Yawar's Wedding. So, today Laura got her Henna done for tomorrow's ceremony.


She did both feet and legs and then her arms and hands. Yawar even got Henna done on his hand. This should a really cool wedding tomorrow. Laura and Yawar are super sweet and DeAnna Morgran is the Wedding Director.

Just a quick Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. I hope you don't drink too much champagne and eat too much turkey.

I'm the President!

I just got back from elections at AWEP (Alabama Wedding and Event Professionals) and I've been elected the 2008 President.

AWEP is a collection of the best in wedding professionals in Alabama.

I'm a proud dude, there were 77 people there tonight at Flower Stems in Birmingham. Chef Bill from the Wynfrey catered the event. This is a big job and I'm honored to have been chosen president.

Ashley and Jonathan

As long as I'm down here in Florida I Photographed Ashley and Jonathan's engagement photos.

All I said was, "Go and walk by the water." See what happened!

I can't wait to photo their wedding in May.

Where's Barry?

If you've called the office and got my wonderful machine again, you're probably wondering "Where's Barry?"

I'm down here in Destin, Florida photographing the Jack's Family Restaurants Convention this week. Sorry, if I'm behind on my emails and return calls but it's tough to get WiFi here.

Tiffany and Steven's Wedding

Last Satuday we photographed and videotaped Tiffany and Steven's Wedding at the Marriott Grandview.

Tiffany and Steven are so cute! It's obvious that Steven is smitten. They're so into each other, being around these two is really cool.

Night at the Opera

Last night I photographed The University of Alabama's Opera Company.

Yes, UA has an Opera company and it is great. Paul and his students are doing a marvelous job of bringing Opera to Alabama.

Artsy Commercial Work

I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again and again - I love it when my clients give me the layout and let me loose to do my thing.

We're working on a new brochure for my client (wishes to remain unnamed). I can't wait until the finished product comes out.

We Interrupt Our Normal Program

My website has been up and down (mostly down) since Friday. The Host swears their working on it around the clock and will get the problem resolved.

Everything was perfect, from the set list to the band's outrageous performance. You can hear how into the band the crowd is.
