Meet Miller

Miller came into town yesterday for her engagement photo for the newspapers.

Josh and Miller are getting married this July and after meeting some of the folks in the wedding party, they're party should be a really cool party! (Did that make sense?)

Valentines Dinner

So what does a picture of me with two other guys have to do with Valentines Day?

Valentines Day happens to be Julie and my wedding anniversary. Stop snickering, it's not so I'll remember the present joke. It's a long story and I'm not in the mood to tell it. Trust me, we got married on February 14th 20 years ago.

Ok, back to the picture. We have a tradition that we celebrate our anniversary by having dinner with the greatest chef, Chef Bob. Chef Bob is on the right. Now, we've been doing this dinner with Chef Bob for so long that we have watched his oldest son, Richard grow up into a chef in his own right (the guy in the middle).

Aren't you glad you asked?

"It Sounds Better in Amharic"

Sunday night I photographed a one man show called "It Sounds Better in Amharic starring Yossi Vassa. If it comes to your town, you should check it out.

The Crystal Ball

Saturday night I photographed the 2008 Crystal Ball at The Club. The Crystal Ball is a fundraiser for the UAB Diabetes Center. This year's ball netted over $400,000! How cool is that?

HaDag Nachash

What is a HaDag Nachash?

HaDag Nachash is an Israeli Rock/Fusion Band. They only sing in hebrew and their music is politically charged and wonderful. The music is a combination of rock, fusion, techno and jazz.

They came to Atlanta last night during a rare USA tour. HaDag Nachash is Aron's favorite Israeli band and he wrote to us while he was in Israel how wonderful they were and then when he got back to the States he downloaded anything and everything they've ever recorded.

The best part of the concert was listening to Aron translate the lyrics for us as they were singing. I love it when a plan comes together!!!!!

The Scooter Doctor

There's a Scooter Doctor in Birmingham!!!!

Matt opened Magic City Scooters on January 26th. He'll work on just about any scooter as long as it isn't Chinese. For those who don't know, I love my Scooter. It's good for the environment, it's cheap to run and best of all it's so much fun!

I love my Scooter almost as much as the Dave Matthews Band (well, OK a pretty distant almost). I've been searching and searching for someone to work on my Scooter here in Birmingham. I've got a Yamaha Zuma, a little 50cc thing and until Matt opened Magic City I had to go to the Yamaha dealer. You thought car dealerships were a pain in the ***, try a motorcycle dealer. They want to sell you the scooter but damned if they want or know how to service them.

So, all you Scooter types out there, go see Matt at Magic City Scooters in downtown Birmingham.

Meet Becky

This is Becky. I photographed her for the newspaper this afternoon. She's so sweet, I can't wait to meet Kellan this spring.

I'm photographing Becky and Kellan's wedding in May. Becky had to rush off after our shoot to visit Courtney who is in the process of having a baby. I had the pleasure of photographing Courtney's wedding back in 2005.

Alabama Architects Award Ceremony

Last night I photographed the Alabama American Institute of Architects annual award ceremony.

The Birmingham Country Club East Ballroom was packed with Architects from all over Alabama. Nice folks, everyone there was really nice to me and even smiled during group shots.
