Greetings from the Great Smoky Mountains

We did the family thing this week. This photo is from Cades Cove first thing in the morning.

The Smokies has to be one of the most peaceful places to go. Which is interesting since it is the most visited National Park. All you have to do is get off the beaten path (or road) and take a short hike. It's just you and Bambi and maybe a bear cub.

It's nice to relax and recharge my creative batteries.

Lynn and JR's Wedding

Yesterday, I photographed Lynn and JR's wedding. This couple is so cute!

Lynn was so nervous and JR was Mr. Cool. They are just so cute together. This is the second time I've been lucky enough to photograph JR's family. I did his sister, Laurie's wedding a few years ago.

They got married at Canterbury United Methodist Church and then we partied at Birmingham Country Club.

Yesterday, I photographed more commercial work. The client (Levite Jewish Community Center) is a recreation center putting together a new brochure and postcards.

Franklin's Homewood Gourmet Turns 10

Saturday afternoon, Franklin Biggs celebrated his 10th year of business.

Julie and I went to celebrate with my good friend, Franklin. We ate, we drank, we danced the afternoon away. Like always, Franklin was thinking about supporting charity. So, as we got to the party, everyone was asked to donate to the Children Dance Foundation.

That's my friend, always thinking about helping out. Here's to his next 10 years in business!

Some Commericial Work and It's a Boy!

I'm working on a commercial video production this week. The Jewish Community Center is turning 100! So, I've been interviewing folks and getting a film together for them.

This morning, there was a Bris at Temple Beth El! James Henry Brook was named today. James Henry is the son of Larry and Ginger Brook. Larry is the publisher of The Deep South Jewish Voice.

James Henry did great at the Bris. Larry and Ginger, well not so great.

Happy Fourth

I hope everyone had a wonderful July 4th!

We just kicked back and watched the fireworks and chilled out.
