This morning, Julie and I moved beds for the homeless project - Birmingham Hospitality Network.

It's raining and it's too damn early! So, why do I feel so good about doing this?

This Morning's Adventure in Clanton, Alabama

This morning I had a great meeting with Kerri Kelley, Wedding Planner.

Since I'm directionally challenged going to beautiful downtown Clanton was a new and exciting adventure. When the driving instructions include "at the four way turn left with the Baptist Church on your left" you know you're in for a treat. Her building was awesome! A beautiful old building in the middle of the town square (it's a southern thing).

Anyway, I can't wait for my next adventure with Kerri.

Lunch with Shannon

I had lunch with Shannon over at the Birmingham Marriott today.

It's nice to sit down and just talk. We see each other at weddings and AWEP meetings but we don't get the chance to just sit down and BS.

Shannon, I enjoyed our lunch today. Thank you.

Olexa's Cafe

I also photographed Olexa's Cafe in Mountain Brook, AL new ad image today.

If you've never been to Olexa's to you need to go! Lunch is wonderful and healthy (yes, both words in the same sentence). But, don't forget to have some of their cake (chocolate is my favorite).

Temple Emanu-El Endowment President

This morning I photographed the Temple Emanu-El Endowment Board and their President, Joel Rotenstreich.

Stay tuned for images of the 2009 annual report I'm working on with the Executive Director, Jann Blitz and one of my favorite graphic designers, Carol Damsky.

Congressman Bachus Town Hall Meeting

Tonight, I photographed the town hall meeting sponsored by our Congressman, Spencer Bachus.

The meeting started off with a prayer from the Baptist Minister, the star spangled banner song by the American Idol guy - Bo Bice. When the Congressman took questions it was so amazing how his staff had a slideshow to help answer all the questions.

Obviously, most of the folks were from the Republican side of the aisle, but there was a sizable contingency from the other side.

Whatever your opinion on the healthcare issue or how you or I see our President. You have to be proud that only in America would we be having this discussion.

Amanda and Joey Get Married

Saturday, we photographed Amanda and Joey's Wedding.

The bride was beautiful, the groom was handsome, the weather sucked, the guests had a great time and although her plans kept changing by the minute, Amanda was so cool.

The staff at Gabrella Manor did their usual wonderful job, Tabitha Boyd's makeup was awesome and Lamar with JAMM Entertainment was great.

Check out their slideshow - http://www.altmarkphoto.com/slideshows/amanda_joey/iframe.html

Dodgers beat Braves

Friday night, Greg took me to the Dodgers game in Atlanta.

Greg has season tickets to the Braves and knows my love for the Los Angeles Dodgers. So whenever they're in town (Atlanta) he calls me up and away we go to the game.
